what is obfuscation and why is it used?

How obfuscators work

When you open an obfuscator, you are greeted with a list of all the obfuscated assemblies and a few buttons. The first thing you need to do is select the assembly that you want to obfuscate.

After selecting the assembly, the obfuscator will ask you which parts of the assembly you want to obfuscate.

The next step is to choose your settings. The default settings should work for most applications, but you may need to change them if your application has unique requirements.

After clicking on the "process" button, the obfuscator will start working and will create a new assembly that is obfuscated.
